Lack of exclusive khadi showroom outside Cumilla is one of the major challenges Khadi industry is facing today. As a result, the industry remained static and limited to a certain area for ages. Khadi sellers’ united effort can change this situation and breathe new life into the industry. By forming a cooperative society, they can establish showrooms in eight divisions of Bangladesh showcasing khadi products. Even if these showrooms incur loss, they would be able to recover it through cooperative society. This initiative will have two big outcomes. Firstly, it will bring khadi close to the buyers thus driving up the demand and contribute to the future growth of the industry. At the same time, khadi will come within the rich of its potential buyers. Gradually, the sellers will establish khadi showrooms in all 64 districts of Bangladesh so that all the people of the country get a clear idea about khadi. Despite bearing financial losses in the initial stage, khadi would become popular all over the country and its market will increase manifolds. In this way, the khadi industry can regain its lost glory.
