The more you promote a particular product at your home district, the more people will be motivated to use that product. This is not only true for clothing’s but also for other products. Khadi is produced in Cumilla, a district with a population of 53,87,228. Even half of this huge population start using their local products then this industry would have declined. People of other districts also purchase khadi products from Cumilla.

If we want to preserve the heritage of our own district, we need to encourage our people to purchase more local produce and handicrafts. In Comilla there are so many people of different professions. Especially now in this age of technology, if the young generation wants, they can promote and sell products of their district online in different ways. Long before the Swadeshi movement people have been wearing khadi clothes but the movement inspired more people to wear khadi. As a result khadi’s demand and popularity increased manifolds. We can learn from history. That revival brought a major change in the khadi industry. Now, we can do the same by using and promoting our home district products. When I would start appreciating my local products it would also inspire others to appreciate that home district products. Thus, it is possible to change the use of domestic products only if the products of each district have to be spread all over the place by using them themselves.
